The acquisition of data, its processing and storage continues for District and Zone documents. Presidents and secretaries are the source of most incoming items, since very few zones seem to have historians. Receiving e-mailings of recent Zone minutes has been slow in catching on, but each year more are coming in. The programs still need to be mailed or given to me at meetings. Often times, both programs and minutes are needed to complete an inventory.
Special emphasis this biennium has been to obtain 2000 to 2010 materials, especially from past district officers and committee chairmen who may still have minutes or agendas. Recently, many 1990's records have come in from past district chairmen. It is always a joy to find missing items. I attend most Board of Director meetings and offer hints for the collection and the storage of material, plus offering to visit Zones to help organizes their items. This is often the best opportunity to receive items and avoid postage. Our files are fairly complete now, so that I have been able to research and provide answers to queries from those wanting to have histories in order to predict future outcomes.
