Mission Grant Proposals 2022
Iris Wittman is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Evanston, Ind., where she has served on SonShine early learning ministry board of directors as treasurer and chairman, evangelism committee, worship committee, Sunday School teacher for 30 years, board of education, choir and church council. She has been on 12 mission trips to Guatemala. She has been LWML society Vice President and Treasurer, and in the Evansville East Zone President for 12 years, Secretary, Treasurer, and Christian Life Chairman. For district she has been Circulation Manager, Financial Secretary, Evansville District Convention Chair, Treasurer, Retreat Committee member, past Scholarship Chairman, as well as Exhibits Director for the 2021 LWML Convention Host Committee. Iris has a degree in Music Education from Royal Schools of Music in London and a degree in Finance from Vincennes University. Past employment includes working for the communications department at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., Information Operator Supervisor at General Telephone in Long Beach, Calif., secretary at Heritage Hills High School, Spencer County, Ind., and investment officer at Tell City National Bank. In her community, she has volunteered as a 4-H leader, on thehome extension board, Southern Indiana Rehabilitation board of directors (treasurer),Habitat for Humanity (selection committee), Heritage Hills scholarship committee (treasurer), and precinct committee chairman. Iris is married and has five children (four living and married with children).
She has also been an YWR at a district convention. She is a member of the Ladies Guild at Our Shepherd and is serving on the LWML Indiana District Christian Outreach Committee. She has also served on the Strategic Planning Committee at Our Shepherd. She helps with the audio/visual for church services, and is a member of one of the praise teams for contemporary worship services. Mission Grants Committee Guidelines
Rev. Geoffrey L. Robinson has served as the Executive Counselor for Outreach for the Indiana District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod since August 1, 2007. His areas of service are: Mission development, Evangelism, Parish Revitalization, Senior Adult Ministry, Parish Nurses, and Lutheran Early Response Teams. He is also the Indiana District Outreach Counselor for the LWML.
Rev. Geoffrey L. Robinson served 25 years in the parish ministry prior to receiving and accepting the call to become the Executive for Outreach for the Indiana District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Rev. Robinson also has served in various synodical and district positions. He has served as circuit counselor of the Hutchinson Circuit in Kansas, Secretary of the Central Illinois District, Assistant Secretary of the Central Illinois District, Rural Ministry committee chairman of the Central Illinois District, Stewardship Commission chairman of the Central Illinois District, Mission Commission Chairman of the Central Illinois District, Finance and Management Commission Chairman of the Central Illinois District, Congregational Life commission member for the Central Illinois District, and he served as a member of the floor committee on Missions for the 2004 synodical convention.
Rev. Robinson is married to Teresa (nee St. Onge) Robinson. They have been blessed with four children, three son-in-laws, one daughter-in-law and ten grandchildren.
